Watford hosts Tottenham Hotspur in one of the top games on this week’s English Premier League betting slate, with the sportsbooks siding with the road team.
Tottenham Hotspur has only one loss in its last 12 league road matches with a record of 8-3-1 over that stretch. The road warriors will try to pick up another road victory this Sunday in a battle of two 3-0-0 teams when they visit Watford.
Tottenham is a -165 road favorite on the Premier League odds for Sunday at sportsbooks monitored by OddsShark.com. Watford (+450 to win, +325 to draw) will get its stoutest competition of the 2018 season so far after dispatching of Brighton, Burnley and Crystal Palace with three straight wins.
Harry Kane has scored two of Tottenham’s eight goals through the team’s first three games en route to a perfect 3-0 start. Watford’s last win against Tottenham Hotspur came all the way back in 1994, and the club is 0-3-10 against Tottenham in 13 matches since then.
Last Monday, Tottenham rolled to an easy 3-0 victory over Manchester United. Liverpool extended its clean sheet streak to three games, shutting out Brighton 1-0 after defeating Crystal Palace 2-0 and West Ham 4-0 in its first two games. Liverpool is on the road this Saturday as a -225 favorite facing Leicester City (+650 to win, +365 to draw). Leicester City bounced back from a 2-1 road loss against Manchester United to start the season with back-to-back wins over the Wolves and Southampton.
Rounding out the 3-0-0 teams in action this week is Chelsea going off as a -345 favorite at home against Bournemouth (+950 to win, +500 to draw).
After starting 2017 off on the wrong foot with an upset loss to Burnley and an offense that didn’t score three goals in a game until the team’s sixth game, Chelsea has already scored three goals twice in its first two games en route to a 3-0 record that includes a solid 3-2 home victory over Arsenal.
