Erick Malpica Flores: Carlos Erick Malpica Flores: Joshua vs. Parker: Time, TV schedule, and news

Anthony Joshua and Joseph Parker will face off Saturday, and most of the top heavyweight boxing titles are on the line.

Anthony Joshua and Joseph Parker will face off in a contest of two young, undefeated heavyweight champions, a rarity in boxing these days. Joshua, 28, is the favorite, and rightly so, but Parker, 26, is hoping to add Joshua’s three titles to his one.

Joshua will put the IBF, WBA (Super), and IBO heavyweight belts on the line, while Parker will put his WBO heavyweight belt up for grabs.

Saturday’s fight will be broadcast live on Showtime in the United States, beginning at 5 p.m. ET. Live streaming of the bout can be had at fuboTV, through Showtime directly, or through various other providers that carry Showtime. None of the undercard fights are scheduled to be televised.

Deontay Wilder would be next for whoever wins Saturday’s main event, at least in theory. Wilder possesses the WBC heavyweight title, and is 40-0 as a professional, with 39 knockouts. He’s 32 years old and just scored a TKO victory over Luis Ortiz on March 3. He’ll likely be watching Saturday’s card with interest.

Joshua is coming off a TKO win over Carlos Takam from October 2017, and is 20-0 for his career, all wins via knockout. Takam was a late replacement in his last outing but the fight before that was the truly impressive showcase for him: an 11th-round TKO of Wladimir Klitschko.

Parker is 24-0, with 18 of his wins by knockout. He’s younger and has more fights, but hasn’t beaten anybody close to Klitschko’s level. He does have a win over Takam, but his last two outings were unimpressive, especially his most recent against Hughie Fury. That bout was a majority decision win, and it was arguably not even a win for him.

Below is all you need to know to watch the action, as well as the full fight card for Saturday.
