Hill’s injury is another for the Cavaliers, at an awful time, too.

George Hill rolled his ankle while taking off for a layup in the third quarter of the Cavaliers matchup against the Pelicans on Friday night. He also landed on the same ankle he rolled. Hill will not return, the Cavs announced, and he will be re-evaluated on Saturday morning.

Hill stayed on the ground for the ensuing defensive possession and couldn’t put weight on his ankle when attempting to walk up-court. He was able to head to the locker room, with assistance, under his own power.

The injury came after Hill went scoreless in the first half before scoring eight points in the opening four minutes of the third quarter. It also adds onto a compounding list of injuries the Cavaliers have suffered this season.
